Great news, Hell Bay Hotel have offered us a further five nights for a second holiday!

Debbie is thrilled to announce that she will be returning to Hell Bay in the Isles of Scilly to tutor a five night knitting holiday in October 2018, departing on Monday 20^th October and returning on Saturday 25^th October. To book a room, we require an initial desposit of £300, full information about pricing can be found further down the page.

She has booked the luxurious Hell Bay Hotel on the beautiful island of Bryher, which is located in a secluded cove facing the Atlantic Ocean. Bryher is the smallest of the inhabited islands of Scilly and is virtually traffic free, with just a couple of dozen houses, the Fraggle Rock Bar and a small shop and deli. It is criss-crossed with paths and tracks that take you up over the grassy and rocky knolls and to the deserted sandy beaches that make up much of the coastline.

Set in private grounds, Hell Bay has twenty-five suites, all beautifully appointed with Lloyd Loom furniture and Malabar fabrics. Rooms and public spaces also boast works by some of Cornwall’s leading artists. There is a large terrace with spectacular views and a sunset deck which overlooks Gweal Hill, both perfect for relaxing and taking in the ambience of the island.

As well as an award-winning restaurant (three AA Rosettes), there is also a spa treatment room, a private heated outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna for guests to use. Treatments at the spa can be booked directly with the hotel at an additional cost.

During the daytime the hotel’s restaurants and bar are open to the general public. However, after 6pm the entire hotel will be for the exclusive use of Debbie’s knitters, with several public areas including a large bar, sitting room and outside terrace available to knit and relax in.

During the holiday Debbie will be running three workshop sessions (one whole day and two half days), at the local community hall in Bryher, which is a short five minute walk from the hotel. Each participant will be given a special Debbie Abrahams knitting kit to work on during the week, however, if preferred, personal knitting projects can be brought along instead.

Weather permitting, there will be a walking historical tour of the island, plus the option for an additional fee of a boat trip to some of the other islands in the area.

Debbie’s knitting holiday to Hell Bay costs from £805.00 per person and includes:

• Five night’s accommodation in a suite (a choice of Studio, Spring Tide, Garden or High Tide suites - Room details)
• Full English breakfast and evening meals
• Tea and coffee during workshop sessions
• One whole day and two half day workshops
• Expert tutoring with Debbie covering various knitting techniques

• A history walking guided tour of the island
• Use of the outdoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna

PLEASE NOTE: the cost of the holiday does NOT include travel. You are strongly advised to book your travel directly with Hell Bay, whose expert team will organise your flights and boating and taxi transfers for you at very competitive prices. Departures are from either Exeter, Newquay or Lands End, with the option of a ferry instead of a flight from Penzance. Flight and boat timetables are not released until November 2017, so please contact Hell Bay as soon as the travel times become available to book your travel arrangements.

Please note that the remainder of your balance is to be paid by Monday 21^st May 2018. This final payment will need to be paid directly to Debbie using BACS, Paypal or cheque and cannot be made through the online shop on her website.

On receipt of your deposit, Debbie will send you a confirmation letter. Further information about the holiday will be posted to you a month before the holiday commences.
