Mail Out 1:

Page 2: Serenity has been incorrectly listed as shade 040. It is shade 044 (as on the ball band).

Page 5 & 7: stitches to embroider using Emerald Lurex include stitch 44, which has been omitted from the instructions.

Mail Out 2:

Page 14: the instruction for Sl 1 purlwise needs to be worked with the yarn held at the front, ie, towards you (as written in the worded instructions for Row 8).

Page 7, The Letter ‘Y’: in the key for the chart, Heavenly should read as, K on RS, P on WS (the whole chart is in stockinette stitch).

Page 9, The Letter ‘U’: in the key for the chart, Sea Green and Taupe should read as, K on RS, P on WS (the whole chart is in stockinette stitch).

Page 13, The Letter ‘Z’: in the key for the chart, Sea Green should read as, K on RS, P on WS (the whole chart is in stockinette stitch).

Page 8, Pixies & Nixies, Option Two: the 3.00mm needles in the boxed needle size information should read as UK 11 (and not UK 10).

Page 9, Elves & Imps (Option One): Row 22 should read as, K4, K2tog, [K6, K2tog] 5 times, K5 (45 sts).

Page 12, Elves & Imps (Option Two): Rows 14 and 18 should read as, 'slip the right needle under both strands of Pasture yarn' (and not Acorn yarn).

Page 15, Autumn Cable: the chart under the key says to use Chestnut yarn, but it should be Pumpkin yarn.

Mail Out 3: April

Page 7, Toadstool (Option One): in the key for the chart it should say to pb (place bead) Black beads and to hb (hook-in) Velvet beads.

Page 11, Bracken: pick up instructions for Option Two should read as: pick up 22 stitches, miss 1 stitch, pick up 22 stitches.

Pages 15 & 18, Hawthorn (both options): the picking up instructions should read as: Option One, pick up and knit 45 sts along the cast-off edge of Square 43; Option Two, pick up and knit 45 stitches along the cast-off edge of Square 43 as follows: [pick up 15 stitches, miss 1 stitch] twice, pick up 15 stitches.

 

Mail Out 4: May

Page 6, Falling Leaves 2 (Option One): YARNS list, Pumpkin needs to be replaced with Harvest (there is no Pumpkin in the square).

Page 6, Falling Leaves 2 (Option One): all of the hooked in beads on the chart should be positioned two rows higher up. The very first one on the Acorn leaf is on stitch 44 on chart row 7.

Page 13, Butterflies (Option Two): after the Pattern notes and tips the needles to use should read as 3.50mm and 2.75mm.

Page 19, Pixies & Nixies, Option Two: the 3.00mm needles in the boxed needle size information should read as UK 11 (and not UK 10).

Page 25, Toadstool 2 (Option Two): Row 6 and Row 14 use Velvet beads and not Black beads and should read as:

Row 6: K4, [P1, hb Red, P1, K3, P1, hb Velvet, P1, K3] 4 times, P1, hb Red, P1, K4 (59 sts).

Pages 7 & 10, Hawthorn 2 (both options): the picking up instructions should read as: Option One, pick up and knit 45 sts along the cast-off edge of Square 1; Option Two, pick up and knit 45 stitches along the cast-off edge of Square 1 as follows: [pick up 15 stitches, miss 1 stitch] twice, pick up 15 stitches.

Page 27, Wolfsbane (Option Two): do not cut off Clay after Row 32 as it is needed again on Row 33.

 

Mystery Cushion Club 2022:

Mail Out 4: SEPTEMBER

Page 7, Upper Back Panel, Zig-Zags: it says to pick up and knit 109 sts along the top (cast-off edge) of Front Panel, but this should say 108 sts (the number of stitches to pick up along the cast-on edge of Blocks 9, 6 and 3 is correct as written).

Mail Out 1: MARCH

Page 12, Square 3, Diamonds: Row 11 should read as: K4, [T2R, K7, T2L, K3] twice, T2R, K7, T2L, K4.

Page 12, Square 3, Diamonds: Row 70 should read as: K2, [P1, K1] 3 times, P3, [(K1, P1) 6 times, P2] twice, [K1, P1] 3 times, K2.

Mail Out 2: APRIL

Page 14, Square 17, Sauvage: Rows 17, 33, 49 and 65 are not a repeat of Row 1 and should read as: K4, [T2L, K1, T2L, K3] 6 times, T2L, K1.

Mail Out 3: MAY

Page 13, Squares 37 & 38, Dapper (Option Two): the number of stitches to pick up should read as 47 stitches, which matches the amount of stitches you are instructed to cast on. Square 36, Suave, has 47 stitches, so you need to pick up and knit every cast-off stitch. 

Page 14, Squares 37 & 38, Dapper (Option Two): ROW 118 is a right side row and not a wrong side row, so the (WS) after the row numbers is incorrect.

Page 19, Squares 43 & 44, Razzle Dazzle (encore!): the colour of the beads on the chart are incorrect and need to match the images on pages 16 and 17. This means that the Gold beads needs to be swapped with the Clear beads, and the Clear beads need to be swapped with the Gold beads.

Page 21, Square 45, Zig-zags: Rows 24 and 48 should read as: K1, purl to last stitch, K1. This matches Rows 24 and 48 of the chart on page 22.

Mail Out 4: JUNE

Page 2: the shade numbers for Svelte and Chaise Longue are incorrect. Svelte is shade 004 and Chaise Longue is shade 001. They are listed correctly in the rest of the June mail out.

Page 2: the colour swatches for Teal and Spearmint beads need to be swapped with each other.

Page 7, Square 4, Cartier (Option One): Row 59 should read as: Pickles, K8, K2tog, [K14, K2tog] twice, K8 (47 sts).

Mail Out 5: JULY

Pages 16 and 21, Squares 9 & 10, Flapper (Option One & Option Two): there is an error with the colour of beads to thread onto Svelte yarn. You are instructed to thread on 32 Bronze beads after Rows 42-62/41-64. But this should read as 32 Teal beads.

Page 16, Squares 9 & 10, Flapper (Option One): the picking up instructions are incorrect and should read as: pick up 15 stitches, pick up 1 extra stitch, pick up 16 stitches, pick up 1 extra stitch pick up 15 stitches. 

Pages 16 and 17, Squares 9 & 10, Flapper (Option One): Rows 63 ands 109 should read as: Sea Green, purl. There are no Gold beads hooked in on these rows.

Mail Out 6: AUGUST

Page 25, Square 46, Cartier (Option One): Row 59 should read as: Pickles, K8, K2tog, [K14, K2tog] twice, K8 (47 sts).

Mail Out 8: OCTOBER

Page 30, Square 47, Diamonds: the pattern says to cast off stitches purlwise, however, the yarn needs to be cut and the stitches left on a holder or spare needle (as written for the worded instructions on page 31).

Mail Out 9: NOVEMBER

Page 15, Square 24, Boudoir (re-revise of previous correction): after ROW 14, the worded instructions should read as follows:

ROWS 15-50: rep rows 3-14, 3 times.
ROWS 51-60: rep rows 3-12.
ROW 61: K1, [K1tbl, K6, K1tbl, K8] 3 times, K1tbl, K6, K1tbl, K1.
ROW 62 (dec): P4, [P2tog, P5, (P2tog) twice, P5] 3 times, P2tog, P4 (48 sts).
 
The chart on page 14 is in the process of being revised, it ends after Row 60. Then follow the written instructions as above for Row 61 and Row 62.

Page 8, Square 25, Deco Dreams: change to 3.25mm needles to work rows 62-65.

Page 15, Abbreviations: the instruction for c4b on RS should read as: slip next two stitches onto cable needle and hold at back, knit next two stitches from left needle then knit the two stitches on cable needle

Page 10, Square 17, Bedecked: bullet points 5 and 6 should begin as follows: 'work rows/on rows Next Row (WS), 1, 9, 14, 21 and 26 and their subsequent repeats...'

Page 12, Square 29, The King's Palace (part 5): the colour swatch boxes in the list of yarns are incorrect for Tanzanite and Turquoise. And the colour swatch box in the list of beads is incorrect for Velvet. (The colour names and codes for these are correct).

Page 16, Square 38, Lady Zubeida Returns:

The worded pattern for this is correct. 

However, there is an error on the chart. It affects Chart rows 1-12, stitches, 12-17, 28-33 and 44-49. The first set of cables should be knitted on Chart rows 5, 7, 9 and 11 (and not Chart rows 6, 8, 10 and 12).

The remaining rows after Chart Row 12 are correct.

Page 11, Square 18, Option One, Souk 

There is an error with the number of rows quoted for the chart and the cast-off for this square. The instructions should read as follows:

ROWS 33-64: beg with a RS row, work chart rows 1-32.

With RS facing, cast off sts knitwise using Garnet yarn.

 

Page 19, Square 31, Bedecked 2: the picking up instructions should read as: If picking up stitches, pick up and knit 45 stitches along the cast-off edge of Square 30 (and Square 16).

 

 

Mail Out 7: AUGUST

Page 15, Square 23, Option One, Plush 2

The picking up instructions should read as follows: 4 Sulfur, [1 Wine, 3 Sulfur, 1 Wine, pick up 1 extra stitch using Wine, 1 Wine, 3 Sulfur] 4 times, 1 Wine, 4 Sulfur.

Page 21, Square 41, Option One, Magic Carpet

Correction to length of Turquoise yarn instructed to cut, it should be 91cm (36in).

Row 11 should read as:

Page 6, Square 1, Cappuccino: the last sentence of the increase instructions on page 6 should read as: Using Mushy yarn (ball 2) P2, K1, inc once into each of the next 4 sts, K1, P3 (44 sts).

Page 11, Square 7, Slumber: 

Row 15 should read as: using Tiny yarn P2, K10, P2, using Naptime yarn P2, K10, P2, using Tiny yarn P2, K10, P2.

Row 16 should read as: using Tiny yarn K2, c5f, c5b, K2, using Naptime yarn K2, c5f, c5b, K2, using Tiny yarn K2, c5f, c5b, K2.

Please note that the chart is correct.

Page 4, Piecing diagram: the image of the Lower Back Panel on page 4 is incorrect and shows Marshmallow instead of Caramel Latte.

Page 7: Lower Back Panel, Caramel Latte: 'With RS facing and using Milky yarn and 3.75mm needles...' should read as 4.00mm needles.

 

Mystery Blanket Club 2020:

Mail Out 1: FEB

Page 10, Square 37, Shingle: first Pattern note and tip should read as: if you are using a different main needle size to the suggested size of 3.50mm, change the needles used in this pattern (3.00mm) down two metric sizes smaller for this square.

Page 16, Square 44, Shells: in the boxed needle size information the 3.00mm (US n/a) (UK 11) needles should be deleted as only 3.50mm needles are required for this square.

Page 13, Square 16, The Beach: picking up instructions, stitches should be picked up along the cast-off edge of Square 15 (and not Square 29).

Page 19, Square 45, Old Sea Wall: Rows 73-74 use Fav Denims yarn (and not Pebble).

Mail Out 4: MAY

Page 6, Square 1, Sand and Surf 2: first Pattern note and tip should read as: on Rows 3-5 and 18-20 and their subsequent repeats, keep stitches spread to the correct width on the needle so that they don't bunch up.

Page 6, Square 1, Sand and Surf 2: second Pattern note and tip should read as: on Rows 3-5 and 18-20 and their subsequent repeats, you are instructed to work some of the start and end stitches with two yarns held together. This will maintain neat edges.

Mail Out 5: JUNE

Page 8, Square 32, Little Ripples: the 5th Pattern note and tip should read as: cables are knitted on right side rows, see Knitting techniques for c3b and c3f (cables are not knitted on wrong side rows).

Page 12, Square 39, Ocean Blues: in the YARNS list, Lagoon is shade 457 (and not 456).

Mail Out 6: JULY

Page 7, Square 4, Shimmer 2: the chart has been revised in the printed patterns (in the emailed patterns it is correct).

Page 9, Square 11, Ocean Blues: picking up instructions, stitches should be picked up along the cast-off edge of Square 10 (and not Square 38).

Page 13, Square 12, Option Two, Rockpools: Row 3 should read as: K2, hook Ice Blue bead, K1, [P3, K1, hook Ice Blue bead, K1] 6 times, K1.

Page 14, Square 18, Little Ripples: the 5th Pattern note and tip should read as: cables are knitted on right side rows, see Knitting techniques for c3b and c3f (cables are not knitted on wrong side rows).

Page 19, Square 33, Perfect Storm: the cast off instructions should read as: With WS facing, cast off sts purlwise using Teal yarn.

Page 14, Square 40, Option One, Shoal: in the BEADS list it should read as 42 Ice Blue and 46 Blue.

Page 17, Square 40, Option Two, Rockpools: Row 75 should read as: K2, hook Ice Blue bead, K1, [P3, K1, hook Ice Blue bead, K1] 6 times, K1.

Page 15, Square 48, Back to the Woodland: Row 32 has an incorrect cable abbreviation and should read as: K2, [c6f, K1, P2, K1] 4 times, c6f, K2.

Mail Out 9: NOVEMBER

Page 7, Square 25, Option One: Our Precious Earth: the description under the title should read as: Multi-coloured wave pattern using Japanese short-row shaping with chain stitch details. (There are no beads in this square).

Page 7, Square 25, Option One, Our Precious Earth: the pick up row is incorrect and should read as: pick up and knit 41 stitches along the cast-off edge of Square 24 using a long tail of Coast yarn as follows: pick up 20 stitches, pick up 1 extra stitch, pick up 20 stitches, and NEXT ROW (WS) is complete. Transfer the stitches onto the other needle so that RS is facing ready to start ROW 1 with the ball of yarn.

Page 7, Square 25, Option One, Our Precious Earth: after Rows 5-6, it should say: Join in Fav Denims yarn using a long tail so that the ball is at the beginning of a RS row to pick up and use on Row 9 (not Row 11).

Page 11, Square 25, Option Two, Tides: the pick up row is incorrect and should read as: pick up and knit 39 stitches along the cast-off edge of Square 24 using a long tail of Maritime yarn as follows: pick up 20 stitches, miss 1 stitch, pick up 19 stitches. Transfer the stitches onto the other needle so that RS is facing ready to start ROW 1.

Page 22, Edging for top edge of blanket: the squares to pick up stitches have been listed incorrectly. Instead of them listed as Squares 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 they should be listed as Squares 49, 42, 35, 28, 21, 14 and 7.

 

Mystery Cushion Club 2020:

Mail Out 1: JUNE

Page 8, Square 2, Sushi: the fourth Pattern note and tip should read as: do not carry yarns up the side of the work after completing a striped or beaded section, except for after Rows 30 and 31. Cut them off and join them in as and when needed.

Page 9, Square 2, Sushi: after Row 33 it should say: Do not cut off Cream yarn.

Mail Out 2: JULY

Page 10, Square 8, More Sushi: the pick up row should read as: 

If picking up stitches, pick up and knit 35 stitches along the cast-off edge of Square 7 as follows: pick up 11 stitches, [miss 1 stitch, pick up 12 stitches] twice.

 

 

 

 

 

Mail Out 5: OCTOBER
Page 6, Lower Back Panel, Snakeskin: Row 1 has an incorrect number of repeats for the bracketed information and should read as: P2, [K3, P3] 21 times, K3, P2 (133 sts).

 

 

 

Page 7, Lower Back Panel, Snakeskin: Row 79 should read as: P2, [P1, inc purlwise into next st, P1, sl1, K2tog, psso] 21 times, P1, inc purlwise into next st, P2. (111 sts).

 

Page 6, Lower Back Panel, Snakeskin: at the end of the Pattern notes and tips there is an instruction to block, press and then join together the front panel squares. However, you have already been instructed to do this in Mail Out 4, so ignore this instruction.

Page 7, Finishing: there is no instruction to sew the Upper Back Panel to the Front Panel. This should be done after blocking and pressing the Lower Back Panel. Please see my advice in the October Mystery Cushion blog about how to sew this into place.

 

25 Beaded Knits: Aladdin Slippers, page 10, column 4

NEXT ROW (RS) (DECREASE): [K1, k2tog, (p1, k1) 3 times, p1, k2tog 3 times, K1. (31 sts).

This row should read:

Blankets & Throws to Knit (100 Afghan Squares to Knit – US version): Flower Power, page 9

Yarn quantities: you will also need 4 balls of Rowan Wool Cotton, shade violet.

Bead quantities: you will need 178 gold beads (not 173 as stated).

ROW 33 should say working into the stitches on Row 31 not Row 32.

Kaleidoscope: Spangle blanket, page 97

Order of piecing diagram has the last row of blocks at the top missing. There should be a repeat of the first row of blocks at the bottom of the diagram.
